A memorial statue in memory of the late Meir (Muki) Kaninischbach
The late Meir (Muki) Kanineshbach fell in combat as part of a leading operation in southern Lebanon, while serving as a dedicated and loyal soldier to his homeland. A unique monument was erected in his memory, perpetuating his memory and path.
The monument, designed as a sundial, symbolizes the time that was cut short by a sharp blow and its light that continued to shine even after his passing. On the monument are engraved four significant words: "Mother, Motherland, Leadership and Friends," words that reflect Muki's values and path.
Muki was the only son of his mother, a Holocaust survivor, who raised him with endless love and devotion. His life story is intertwined with pain, strength, and the values he passed on to his friends and acquaintances.
The monument is approximately 2.5 meters high , and it has stood in the city of Netanya since 2017. It serves as a place of remembrance, contemplation, and respect for the fallen, and reminds future generations of the figure of Muki.
