Mitzpe Nathan , located in the city of Modi'in , is a spectacular observation point overlooking the Jerusalem Mountains and the Ayalon Valley.
The observatory is named after the late armor officer Captain Nathan Cohen , who fell in the line of duty during Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza Strip in 2014. In recognition of his bravery and contribution to the country, the observatory was established as a place to commemorate his memory, while connecting his personal legacy with the landscapes of the country he loved.
The observatory serves as a place of communion, contemplation, and inspiration , allowing visitors to enjoy the pastoral landscape, alongside the opportunity to remember and honor the work of IDF soldiers who fell while defending the country.
