Monument to the fallen of the 4th Kiryat Brigade
Memorial to the Fallen The 4th Kiryatiti Brigade (formerly known as the 166th Brigade and the 602nd Brigade) is an armored brigade in reserve. It was formerly a Haganah infantry brigade and fought in the Israel Wars.
The brigade commanders were partners in the planning process of the monument and Chen Winkler was entrusted with its execution. The monument is placed in the brigade forest in Latrun. It consists of five elements that resemble basalt gates, and each gate represents a battle. Inside the gates of A memorial to the fallen is hung with stones taken from the various battle zones, and they are anchored to them with stainless steel rods. One side of the stones is cut and chiseled like the map of the battle represented by the gate within which they are hung, and the other side is engraved with the battle record of the fighting.
