Holocaust Memorial - Rygrod, Poland
Holocaust Memorial - Rygrod, Poland
A memorial erected in memory of the Jewish community of the city of Rygród in eastern Poland.
Monuments are monumental pieces of art that contribute to preserving and transmitting history and perpetuating people and events. The purpose of their design and appearance is to produce an exciting memory experience. The memorial in Brygórz, in eastern Poland, was established to preserve and remember the Jewish community that sank in the storm of World War II. Monuments are a meeting place for the memory of war dead and Holocaust survivors, and are a symbol of change and hope. The sculpture is made of authentic materials and as a move in tight terrain. The place is an area of battles and an ancient Jewish settlement, and the monument stands as a sacred place that recalls the way a Jewish community in eastern Poland behaved over the years. A memorial creates a strong connection with the past and supports transparency that will never be forgotten. It preserves the memory of the deceased, embraces the proclamation of the Holocaust and the war, and gives the place and the community the meaning and pride that their diverse historical and cultural contributions bring to life.
