"Division 143" Monument – A Commemoration with Historical Significance and Battle Legacy
The "143rd Division" monument is not just a memorial stone, but a living testament to a legacy of courage, determination, and sacrifice. The monument bears the name of one of the most famous divisions of the Yom Kippur War – Division 143, which operated under the command of Major General Ariel Sharon and played a decisive role in the fateful battles in the southern sector.
During the war, the division fought stubborn battles against large Egyptian forces, and thanks to initiative, courage, and resourcefulness, it managed to break through the Egyptian defenses, cross the Suez Canal, and change the course of the fighting. Its actions constituted a strategic turning point in the war, and the battles it led were deeply etched in the historical memory of the State of Israel.
This monument was built in the spirit of the warriors of the 143rd Division, out of deep respect for their legacy and sacrifice. The design combines strong and elegant elements, symbolizing the strength, faith, and determination that characterized the warriors on the battlefield.
At "Shish Winkler" we see commemoration as of the highest value and act with a mission to preserve the memory of the heroes of the past. We insist on the use of select raw materials, a high level of finishing, and personalization for each family, to ensure a dignified, respectful, and worthy commemoration.
